The Sovance Team
The Sovance Team combines for nearly fifty years of Corporate Finance experience managing people, processes and technology to drive profitable growth and enterprise value. Core competencies span all major finance functions including Finance, Accounting, Venture Capital Funding, Decision Support, Budgeting and Tax, Production and Technology. This breadth of expertise enables us to produce strategies and narratives that enable businesses to increase profitability and achieve strategic goals.
The team has led systems projects to completion that resulted in millions of dollars in cost-savings, hundreds of millions of dollars in increased revenue, and double-digit increases in the speed of cash collection.
Our experiences encompasses all critical finance analytical and operational functions including—but not limited to—the following:

• Managing of consulting resources to ensure client projects are staffed appropriately and efficiently

Currently, he is a Founder and Managing Director of Sovance, LLC, and through Sovance, holds the position of CFO in more than five companies covering several industries including multi-media, nutritional supplements, consumer products, and retail. Most recently, he completed his role as CFO of Prolacta Bioscience.
Nathen has played key roles in turn-around environments helping companies manage cash flow through challenging periods while still meeting their milestones. He has managed multiple closings totaling over $60 million from venture capitalists and bankers, and he has a reputation for quickly moving through due diligence and managing to a fast close of multi-party financial rounds.
Prior to Sovance and Prolacta, Nathen was Senior Director/CFO of The Nanotech Company and CEO of Atomic Scale Design (a nano-materials company). After graduating from business school, Nathen worked in Japan for IMAGICA Corporation (Asia’s largest post-production company) where he was General Manager of 3 business units being the primary person responsible for operations and financial management. Prior to business school, Nathen was CFO for Porsche Design and a CPA at a local Los Angeles firm.
Nathen is conversant in Japanese and holds an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA and has his undergraduate degree in Business Economics from UCLA.
